Rollin’ Rally keeps rocking and rolling in Iowa

The first annual Rollin’ Rally held last June 23 at the Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa was a smashing success. A collaboration of the Transportation Sector Board in the Cedar Rapids – Iowa City corridor, it coincided with the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival and attracted a large crowd.

The event, which includes a parade, gave families an opportunity to see various types of transportation vehicles and learn more about transportation and logistics industry careers. The marketing team at Kirkwood’s Continuing Education Training Center created the graphic design and Modagrafics completed installation of the trailer. The design featured the artwork of 28 children from Iowa and one from Chicago.

“We received many positive reviews. It is definitely a showstopper on the road to this day,” says Ashley Grimm, Transportation Business liaison for Kirkwood’s training center. “More than 400,000 area residents attend the Freedom Festival events each year. This was the highlight of the parade, and the youth and their families enjoyed walking along the truck and passing out candy.”
