Material Engineering

Modagrafics understands the many variables that affect graphics over time, which is why we carefully explore many material options to engineer the right solution. We take into consideration all of the environmental conditions, such as temperature extremes, sunlight exposure and precipitation rates, and match them up with your needs to determine the best possible material options.

To keep up with the latest innovations in this area, Modagrafics maintains a close working partnership with all the major film manufacturers including Avery Dennison, Arlon, 3M and FLEXcon. These relationships bring you an unending variety of options from high reflective, metallic, opaque, translucent, high gloss and specialty films. With such resources, Modagrafics can help you capture the perfect graphic look – one that can withstand the test of time and the elements.

Testing Equipment

Helping to assure that your decals are printed on the right film with the right production techniques, Modagrafics testing facilities leave little to chance. To that end we possess the equipment needed to: test for resistance to rubbing abrasion; evaluate tensile strength and elongation of vinyls and plastics; determine adhesive strength of pressure sensitive materials; formulate and evaluate the right color; evaluate the degree of gloss; compare colors under different light sources; and check for decal shrinkage. We even have ways to check the accuracy of our settings, calibrations and measurements.
